Why should I bother?

CAN ONE PERSON REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

There are many reasons to care about sustainability. The first one is for our kids. The next generations of kids deserve to be handed a world that is well-tended not one full of pollution problems. We as adults have the buying power and therefore the power to influence what manufacturers make and sell. If we stop buying single-use plastics and opt for more sustainable options- they will make more sustainable options.

As we share with others our desire to change the amount of pollution and waste we are making we will have a ripple effect on our friends, family and community - the ripple effect is incredible. I am aware that the problems lie upstream. I know that it’s the big companies that are causing the problems, and ultimately, they have the power to make the biggest changes. But, we need to advocate for that, and we can speak with our actions.
